UCLA's Love, Blue Hens take home Weely Watch honors

The Jayhawks have it all: depth, experience and multiple scoring options inside and out. They defend with an attitude and attack for 40 minutes. Darrell Arthur and Darnell Jackson along with Sasha Kaun pound relentlessly inside for high low position. The Sooners can also pound it down low with an improved Longar Longar and freshman sensation Blake Griffin. Tony Crocker has been able to stretch the defense with his shooting to give the big fellas some paths to the rim. If the Oklahoma perimeter players, led by guard Austin Johnson, can take care of the basketball against Mario Chalmers and company and see through the "Phog" to get the ball inside, Oklahoma could take this one down to the wire.

- Tuesday: Penn State over Wisconsin, 9 p.m. ET
Brian Butch is playing with great confidence and guard Trevon Hughes can make it happen off the dribble and can hit the open 3 for the Badgers.

Not the voice that tells you to leave a message or gives you a directory of people's extensions. I'm talking about a computer voice that actually has a conversation with you.

A cable company that I deal with (I won't say which one) is the worst offender. When there's a problem you are almost guaranteed to deal with the "fake lady" for several minutes. If you come to the end of that rope, you usually get turned over to someone with an accent so thick you can barely understand him or her. I used to have this company's phone service, but dumped it because it went out every time it rained. Between the 4 or 5 times I called to try to get some help, I must have spent the better part of 17 years talking to a computer voice (OK, that's exaggerating a little, but it seemed that long).

Glenn Greenwald

I kept looking at my BlackBerry e-mails all day long. I didn't hear the Democratic candidates talking much about that date. What does that tell you about the evolution of the politics of Iraq, if you will?

* KING: As you know, one of the issues you have had here in South Carolina in the past is either people don't understand your social conservative record or they're not willing to concede your social conservative record.

There's a mailing that hit South Carolina homes yesterday. It's a picture of you and Cindy on the front. It says "Always pro-life, 24-year record." Why do you think you still, after all this time, have to convince these people, "I have been with you from the beginning"?

* KING: The flip side of that mailing shows Cindy holding Bridget ...

Pay-TV pilot on DTT in Spain

TV producer Mediapro, technology company SIDSA, electronic manufacturer SIEMENS-InOutTV, Consultancy firm SDIdigital and operador Telecom Castilla-La Mancha, along with the Town Council of Alcázar de San Juan, have launched a pay-TV pilot.

The six companies are offering a pay-per-view football match from the Italian Football League, as well as successful films from the producers Filmax and Manga Films.

It is one of the first pay-TV initiatives on DTT in Spain and forms part of the project called "DTT Digital Alcázar". The pay-TV transmissions may be received through Siemens set-top-boxes that have the InOutTV service integrated, thatÂ’s more than 500,000 units, representing 15 per cent of the total.

Stayaway Reebok fans: What's the answer?

BOLTON Wanderers are banking on new boss Gary Megson delivering results that will lift them clear of the relegation zone and ease growing concerns over a dramatic drop in attendances.

Crowd figures at the Reebok have slumped to a record low as the Whites have struggled at the wrong end of the Premiership.

And, while they are considering a range of incentives to boost gates, they don't expect any significant improvement until the team starts climbing the table.

"The stark reality is that the club is struggling on the pitch," commercial director, Gareth Moores, said.

The Hidden Truth About Genetically Modified Foods

A New Zealand MP testified at the 2001 Royal Commission of Inquiry on Genetic Modification:

"I have been contacted by telephone and email by a number of scientists who have serious concerns . . . but who are convinced that if they express these fears publicly . . . or even if they asked the awkward and difficult questions, they will be eased out of their institution."

Prof Christian Velot raised difficult questions on genetically modified organisms at public conferences and his 2008 research funds were confiscated.

Antagonists in Australia are particularly vicious, paying no heed to facts or decency. Similarly, Andrew Bolt gives false and misleading information about my personal beliefs and about the laboratory I worked at seven years ago.

And he confuses a rat study, showing that GM corn can produce herbicides inside their gut, with a human study.

All comments are subject to our guidelines (listed below) and our user ...

You can rate other users' comments with a thumbs up/thumbs down rating, using the corresponding buttons that appear beneath each comment. Your votes affect that comment's net rating. For example, two votes of thumbs up and one vote of thumbs down result in a net score of one thumb up. Users are limited to one vote per comment and are not allowed to rate their own comments. Any registered user may rate comments. Interest Threshold

Users may set an 'interest threshold' to determine which comments they wish to view. By default, users will see all comments rated at or higher than two thumbs down. You can adjust this threshold using the menu at the top of the comments, or you may view specific comments beneath your threshold by clicking on "view comment."

Any comment that a user has voted "thumbs down" on is immediately set below their personal interest threshold.
